OrthoNebraska’s vision is to become the nation’s BEST provider of orthopaedic services. Part of our mission includes complete transparency of performance measures that help define value in healthcare: patient satisfaction, quality and cost.

This report is intended to pro-actively communicate how our actions support the pursuit of BEST so that healthcare consumers can more readily identify the unique value of specialized orthopaedic care.

Patient Satisfaction

The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey is the first nationally standardized and publicly reported survey of patient perspectives regarding hospital care.


Quality Results

Hospital Compare is part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Quality Initiative. The Hospital Quality Initiative uses a variety of tools to help stimulate and support improvements in the quality of care delivered by hospitals.


Effective Surgical Care

OrthoNebraska participates in the Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) administered by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and consistently exceeds state, and often times national, comparisons by hospital for the prevention of surgical infection.


Procedure Costs

Since it’s inception, OrthoNebraska has prided itself on its ability to keep the cost of orthopaedic care down. Through specializing exclusively in orthopaedics, we have consistently maintained the lowest average charges for inpatient orthopaedic procedures.
